RSS

What is RSS?
RSS (which stands for 'Really Simple Syndication') is a system which allows you to have the latest updates and news from a website available instantly. It works by downloading a small file from the website which contains the latest additions to the site, and then displays this as a series of short descriptions in your reader, similar to a newsticker or stock price tracker.

Milan clothing was one of the first sites of its kind to list the latest releases from the top mens clothing brands in RSS format - the first mens clothing rss feed from milan was launched back in 2005.

How do I start using RSS feeds?
The first thing you need is something called a news reader. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications. All allow you to display and subscribe to the RSS feeds you want.

Newer web browsers have RSS readers integrated in them. The latest version Internet Explorer (IE7), Opera and Safari on Mac OSX have an RSS reader, and if you are using Firefox, there are a few extensions that allow you to read RSS feeds in your browser. If you are not already using RSS, chances are you soon will.

You can also use web based news readers to view the content of RSS feeds. One example is the Google Reader tool
